10 Movie Directors Who Deserve Their Own Biopic

4. Terrence Malick

TerrenceMalick Okay, I'll be honest, I don't have much to say for this one. Malick had a normal life, he grew up in Illinois, got good grades, and became interested in film at some point in his early life. The future writer/director worked on a few screenplays as a way of breaking into film, and eventually made Badlands, his directorial debut. The film was a success, and from there, he directed the acclaimed "Days of Heaven." That's when his career started getting a bit weird. Although critics loved his sophomore film, it bombed at the box office, and Malick kind of disappeared for 20 years as a result. He eventually returned with The Thin Red Line, before disappearing for another seven years. I'm pretty positive that one day he'll write a tell all book, and reveal himself as some weird creature, but for now all we have is speculation. I'd just really, really like to see a film that details some of those twenty years in its first act, and tell the story of his comeback in the latter two acts.
