10 Movie Directors Who Deserve Their Own Biopic

3. Francis Ford Coppola

francis-ford-coppola1 Francis Ford Coppola had a pretty good '70s, right? He directed The Godfather and its sequel, the Gene Hackman/John Cazale thriller The Conversation, and the war epic Apocalypse Now. On top of that, he co-wrote Patton, and produced George Lucas' first two films. Not bad, hm? Seriously, though: Coppola pretty much owned the '70s, and a movie chronicling those 10 years for him would greatly satisfy me. The beauty of this is that the film would give us a look at the glory days of some of cinema's finest. Coppola worked with everyone from Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, to Gene Hackman and Marlon Brando. He also kept some good company, coming up with the likes of Scorsese, Spielberg, Lucas, etc. The majority of the film would probably have to be set during the production of Apocalypse Now, because if you know anything about the making of that film, you would know that it was one of the most disastrous productions ever, resulting in Martin Sheen having a heart attack, cast changes, and a whole lot of mistakes. It would also make fantastic cinema.
