Plot:

How to Train Your Dragon 2 follows the adventures of Hiccup and his dragon, Toothless. In this film Hiccup reconnects with the mother he thought was dead. She too is a dragon rider, and has spent the last 20 years maintaining a dragon sanctuary. The movie ends with a dragon fight for who will be alpha dragon. Toothless wins and Hiccup becomes the new chief of his people.

But Wait...

This movie introduces new and disturbing world rules about how dragons work. They have a pack mentality that is led by an alpha who can mind-control and break the will of any dragon if they want to. Normally, the alpha is strong and large because the right to lead is won through combat. Small and physically weak Toothless becoming the alpha is a fluke.

Now, at any moment all of the docile and bonded dragons could turn on people. All it takes is for a new evil alpha to attack Toothless and win. Next thing you know Hiccup's whole village would be burned to the ground and his people killed.
