10 Movie Endings That Get Worse The More You Think About Them

7. Cameron's Father Is REALLY Mad - Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Don't Worry Darling
Paramount

Even though Ferris Bueller's Day Off ends with Ferris' (Matthew Broderick) best bud Cameron (Alan Ruck) wrecking his father's precious Ferrari and deciding to finally stand up to his domineering pops, we're left to imagine how that confrontation goes.

And considering how fearful Cameron is shown to be of his father earlier in the film, it's easy to imagine his projection of confidence quickly crumbling once his dad finds out what's happened to the Ferrari.

Given that the father basically loves that car more than his actual family, he might disown Cameron and kick him out of the house, or at the very least become outright abusive towards him both physically and emotionally.

Even accepting that Cameron seems better equipped to deal with his father's domineering ways after the events of the movie, he's presumably never pissed off daddy dearest quite this much before, and so the consequences are likely going to be worse than anything he's encountered prior.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
