10 Movie Endings Your A**hole Friend Saw Coming From A Mile Away

4. The Prestige

€œNo,€ your friend said as he got out his DVD case and popped in the movie. €œAbsolutely not. There is no way we€™re watching this. Everyone gets so hyped up about the ending, but you can see it coming from like, a mile away.€ This movie is a bit of an exception on this list. Although your friend had seen The Prestige numerous times (and continues to add to his tally), he has never been able to reconcile his dead-on prediction of the last shot during his initial viewing with everyone else€™s reaction to it. At least how he thought they reacted to it. You tried to explain to your friend without giving anything away to the other people in the room who provisionally decided to attend that it€™s not the last shot, but rather Christian Bale€™s story that gets people so excited, but at that point your friend had already seen the top hats at the beginning of the movie and was in the midst of his weekly lecture about how The Prestige€™s final €œtwist€ isn€™t groundbreaking at all and that it€™s so obvious (look at the cats and the canaries for crying out loud) and he doesn€™t understand why Christopher Nolan is so exalted among fanboys and how did Bruce survive the nuclear explosion if he was in the Bat anyway?
