10 Movie Franchises That Rebooted Way Too Soon

4. Fantastic Four

This is bound to be contentious as Fox€™s reboot has not yet been released. However, regardless of how original the film will be, it will be too soon. We have already seen two Fantastic Four films, and have experienced the origin story once before. Assuming that the reboot will take place in the X-Men universe, we can expect that the origin will be slightly different, but at the same time it has only been seven years since we last saw Reed Richards and co on the big screen. Yes, this is sceptical, but it is also reasonable judging from the other entries on this list. We already know what to expect in terms of characters, and even the enemy will be the same. Doctor Doom will probably be considerably more menacing than the previous incarnation, but like Spider-Man and the Hulk we already understand the characters. One of the things that 2008€™s Hulk got right was to not repeat the origin story, but the Fantastic Four reboot will have to do this. We may be proven wrong, but the time between the original and the reboot is short enough to warrant this apprehension.
