10 Movie Franchises That Screwed Up Their Final Part

8. Rush Hour 3

Spider Man 3
New Line

Like many of the films touched upon in this list, the original Rush Hour film is a classic. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan provide laugh aplenty as their cultural differences fail to stop them from becoming friends and working cases together.

But Rush Hour 3 is… tired, to say the least. Comments bordering on racist that were just about funny in the first film get no laughs here with Tucker and Chan, running out of steam long before the third instalment came out in 2007.

Rehashed jokes with rehashed characters make it a rehashed flop and this was ultimately no more than milking a cash cow.

Even when it comes to action scenes, it fails miserably. Chan seems to have exhausted all his best moves over the first two movies and Tucker, with his own flamboyant fighting style, also fails to hit the original heights he managed back in the 1990s.

Chan recently admitted he wanted a fourth film but surely the directors have more sense than that?

Sport and Film. I love them both. And I'm extremely lucky to write about two of my biggest passions in life. Most of the time, I'm at the Daily Express newspaper writing about football, tennis and F1. But, when I'm out of there, I let my imagination run wild and pen down my thoughts on the film series' I love. WhatCulture gives me the chance to write about the movie industry - an industry I really care about. And for that, I'm extremely grateful. And hope you, if you're reading this, enjoy what I think about stuff.
