10 Movie Franchises That Were Destroyed In A Single Moment

7. Tess Pretends To Be Julia Roberts - Ocean's Twelve

Ocean's TwelveOcean's Twelve is undoubtably the weakest entry in the otherwise impressive "let's-go-rob-rich-people-who-wronged-us" franchise, a movie that is still kind of watchable if you're comfortable with the idea of all your favourite Hollywood stars making a motion picture purely as an excuse to shoot the , hang out with one another for a couple of months, take the occasional light-hearted jab at their careers, and generally inject the movie was about as much self-congratulation as is humanly possible in this day and age. Don't fancy that? Oh. As you can imagine, not many people did, and especially so during the bizarre meta-moment where Julia Roberts' character, Tess, imitates the actress Julia Roberts, 'cause don't they look alike? This might've felt slightly more clever had it not been part of an already all-together smug movie, but this also marked the exact moment where audiences kind of realised they'd paid to say a cast renunion that was not happening for their benefit. As a result, it's hard to escape the feeling that all Ocean's movies exist only for actors involved, and we're lucky to have been invited along for the ride. Jeepers, thanks Mr. Clooney.
