10 Movie Franchises With Recurring Easter Eggs

7. Star Wars References (Indiana Jones)

Toy Story A113

Just as Star Wars loves to make reference to Spielberg's work, so too does the inverse occur just as often.

The one you're probably most aware of is the scene in Temple Of Doom where the club Indy breaks out of is called Club Obi-Wan, in reference to the character by the same name. But the references go back even further, to the first movie, Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

When Indy is inspecting the ark in one scene, there are hieroglyphs behind him, blurred out by the camera focusing on Indy. But if you up the resolution and zoom in, you can clearly see the scene where Princess Leia gives R2-D2 the Death Star information depicted in hieroglyph form.

Forgetting of course just how little sense that makes, seeing as how that would be a whole other level of nitpick, these fun little touches are a great running gag between friends who love each other's movies.
