10 Movie Heroes Who Failed (And Were Saved By Wimps)

Secret agent Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) is not the most dashing or competent of heroes but he's Rambo compared to his partner, Bough (Ben Miller). Bough is such a timid pushover, it's not hard to imagine him apologising to criminals after he busts them.

The key criminal in this case is Pascal Sauvage (an enjoyably bonkers John Malkovich) who wants to become King of the UK so he can use the land to build a gigantic prison on. English and INTERPOL agent, Lorna Campbell (Natalie Imbruglia), later infiltrate Sauvage's château to uncover his plan. However, they are both caught due to a silly mishap (entirely English's fault) and locked away in the dungeon.

And it's Bough who comes to the rescue. He bravely climbs up the château's sewage pipe and frees the two failed agents. The three of them are then able to stop Sauvage's coronation and prevent their country from falling victim to an evil egomaniac. Nobody wants that.
