9. Ferris Bueller Got Caught And Really Screwed Cameron
There are four stages in life that show you're getting older:
Stage 1) You sympathise with Ferris
Stage 2) You sympathise with Cameron
Stage 3) You wonder what Cameron's Dad did for a living
Stage 4) You sympathise with Vice Principal Rooney
Ferris Bueller's day off is one of the greatest movies of all time and yes, I'm aware the idea of Bueller staying home wouldn't have made much of a film at all, but as fun as Ferris' shenanigans were on his day out in Chicago, you wonder if he considered whether it was all worth the subsequent fall out?
Why Ferris shouldn't have bothered: Despite his best efforts, Bueller was still caught by Vice Principal Rooney, and there's the small matter of Cameron's Dad's car being wrecked.
The consequences: Let's put aside the fact that Cameron will probably be found dead in the forest behind his house when his Dad gets home - I don't believe for a second that Rooney, who has been trying to "nail" Bueller for years will simply let it slide because his sister caught him snooping around the house. Also, you just know that Ferris' sister will use his day off as leverage in the future considering their testing relationship.
