10 Movie Heroes Who Were Secretly Just Awful

7. Albus Dumbledore Didn't Really Care About Harry - Harry Potter

Let’s begin at the beginning; in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the very first scene shows Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall leaving a defenceless infant Harry Potter on the doorstep of his deranged aunt and uncle.

Things don’t get much better from there.

Dumbledore then spends the following movies grooming the underage Harry Potter into someone who is 100% okay with dying for the greater good – something most teenage boys have absolutely no interest in doing.

Dumbledore also makes a habit of keeping vital information from Harry. That Snape’s been tasked with watching over him? That the prophecy ends in Harry’s death? Nope, none of that seemed important enough to share.

In fact, the entire movie series is filled with Dumbledore’s dickery. No investigation after an underage Harry is entered into the Triwizard Tournament? You bet! While Dumbledore’s hope of saving the world might have been a good enough motivation; what he intended to do with Harry from the beginning is pretty nasty – even for such a jolly bearded guy.
