7. Harry and Lloyd - Dumb & Dumber
Why Are They Idiots? The epitome of mindbogglingly stupid, Dumb and Dumber themselves are literally the VIP of movie idiots. They are the royalty of the morons. In the film that launched Jim Carrey's career as a very physical, very hilarious actor, he and Jeff Daniels must reunite Mary Swanson with her briefcase left in Harry's limo. What ensues is a crazy road trip involving the FBI, kidnapping, volatile pranks, love triangles and copious amounts of hardcore stupidity.
Top Idiotic Moment The dysfunctional duo pick up kidnapper in disguise Mental during their travels. During this spell, a legend is born when Lloyd asks a simple question: "Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?". And hear it he did.
How They Save the Day Lloyd and Harry have that simple specialty of everything inadvertently going wrong all around them, yet going right for them. So by the conclusion of the film they stop the kidnappers, spend the FBI's money and complete their epic road journey. So what is left for them? Only to have it taken away and head on home. It must be great being Harry or Lloyd because the pair are too stupid to grasp what is going on, going so far as to point out to a van full of very revealing girls where to find two young, able guys to share the van with. Poor, oblivious idiots.
