1. Tarzan's Disappearing Scars - Tarzan

Throughout the '90s in particular, Disney's animated films were picked apart by mistake-hunters for one simple recurring issue: the absence of persistent wounds to either heroes or villains.

In Beauty and the Beast, Beast (Robby Benson) gets shot with an arrow which disappears moments later, while in The Lion King hyena villain Shenzi's (Whoopi Goldberg) claw wounds disappear within moments.

By the time 1999's Tarzan hit screens, Disney's lack of regard for realistic injury detail was firmly established, resulting in an early scene where Tarzan (Tony Goldwyn) gets into a scrap with a leopard and is scratched across the chest by its claws.

Though the cuts look deep and fresh, by the end of the fight they've totally disappeared, per Disney's policy to keep blood and substantial injuries to a minimum.

But the apparently official explanation from the filmmakers themselves is that fast-healing is just another of Tarzan's immense physical abilities. Sure...
