9. The Denominators Don't Know Pi - Never Been Kissed
1999's cult fave rom-com Never Been Kissed isn't exactly a film anybody is turning to for rigorous adherence to mathematic principles, but at the same time this is a pretty hilarious and embarrassing goof.
Early in the film, undercover reporter Josie (Drew Barrymore) is invited to join the "Denominators," an academic club who are briefly shown hosting a bake sale with a tablecloth bearing the number for Pi.
Except, the number is totally wrong after the first three digits. The movie lists it to 10 decimal places as "3.1457869986...," but in reality it's actually 3.1415926535."
Were the context any different, viewers would probably cut the filmmakers some slack here, but given that the scene is literally about a group of "mathletes," it's absolutely ridiculous for them to get the number wrong.
Then again, this being a comedy, it's possible that this was actually a devilishly subtle joke on the part of the crew - albeit one that everyone online has freaked out about regardless.
