4K re-releases are always revealing new details about movies, often to the chagrin of filmmakers who would rather the curtain not be lifted any higher than it already has been.

But Richard Donner's classic 1985 adventure film The Goonies contains a harmless, if amusing, example of a moment forever changed by the "benefits" of higher resolution media.

When Chunk (Jeff Cohen) performs the legendary "truffle shuffle" near the start of the movie, the 4K release reveals that actor Cohen had a case of chicken pox running across his chest.

There's more to the story, though: Cohen contracted chicken pox shortly before shooting was set to begin, and fearful that he'd lose the job if he reported it, simply opted not to tell the production about it. Or more likely, his parents didn't want to lose out on a lucrative gig and so kept it hush hush.

Thankfully there aren't any accounts of a chicken pox outbreak on the set of the movie, so aside from a permanent high-resolution document of the ailment, all involved seemingly got away with it.
