10 Movie Moments That Literally Made You Want To Puke

3. Bathing - Gummo

In a film which is a veritable festival of surreal depravity and hyper-realistic squalor, there is no scene which triggers your gag-reflex quite like Solomon's (Jacob Reynolds) long-awaited bath. In water which is presumably as cold as it is dirty, the youngster attempts to multi-task by eating a questionable meal of tinned spaghetti and milk, his appetite not affected by the shampoo which slops into his meal. Famed director Werner Herzog praised how effective he found the bacon stuck to the wall. I loved Grizzly Man, Werner, but I'm sorry to say that the filthy rasher of bacon just makes me feel sick, and I cannot - on any level - appreciate any artistic comments that were intended by its placement there. Seriously... what kind of director thinks of "bacon on the wall" as good attention to detail?
