10 Movie Moments More Terrifying When You Know The Truth

1. Henry Cavill Was Completely Deaf Whilst Hanging Out Of A Helicopter - Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The demanding act of physically transforming into The Man of Steel and Geralt of Rivia pales in comparison to the difficulties Henry Cavill faced when hunting down Tom Cruise in a helicopter.

That's according to the titanic Brit himself, with Cavill revealing to Collider recently what actually went into the riveting 'copter chase through the Southern Alps seen in Mission: Impossible - Fallout.

With his relentless assassin August Walker doing everything he could to bring Ethan Hunt down, Cavill very much had to stick his head out of a moving flying vehicle and fire blanks into the freezing wind, all while "all sorts of stuff" was flying back at him.

And if the concept of actually hanging out of a helicopter that high up wasn't terrifying enough, Cavill was also "completely deaf" throughout, with only a pilot's gestures indicating to him when they were rolling.

Lovely.

With the camera ship only needing less than half-an-hour to refuel after a significant stint in the sky as well, Cavill also barely even got a breather in-between these no-doubt gruelling takes.

But that's what you sign up for when you agree to take on the undisputed king of action (and the sky, apparently), I suppose.
