10 Movie Moments More Terrifying When You Know The Truth

2. Being In Genuine Free Fall Was Pretty Terrifying For Daniel Radcliffe As It Goes - Harry Potter

It's safe to say that most of the child stars involved in bringing the Harry Potter franchise to life on the big-screen weren't fully aware of just how special a project they were involved in at the time of initially shooting the Wizarding World features.

And that most definitely applies to the leading man himself Daniel Radcliffe, with the Potter star eventually revealing how he was able to execute one somewhat terrifying stunt on The Goblet of Fire at the age of just 15 (!) that he would likely never be allowed to do ever again.

Coming during the intense battle between Potter and a Hungarian Horntail dragon during the Triwizard Tournament, the "special circumstances in that set" led to Radcliffe himself being allowed to perform the moment Harry slid down a roof. The fall itself was about 40-feet down. And though the Brit was connected to a wire, he'd eventually note to Entertainment Tonight that "... I was properly in free fall. It was only there to catch me at the end. And I was absolutely terrified."

It's only a brief moment of madness. But it's one that becomes that little more impressive and alarming once you realise no stunt doubles were actually required for this dizzying practical fall from up high.
