10 Movie Moments That Outraged Fanboys In 2013

9. Russell Crowe - Les Miserables

"Fanboy" might not seem like the right word to use when it comes to describing the millions of Les Miserables fanatics out there, but - really - what's the difference? The level of dedication associated with the most frenzied Les Miserables fans is rightly comparable to the dedication shown by comic book fanboys - and they're just as vocal about expressing their opinions when something doesn't go their way, as witnessed by the casting of Russell Crowe in Tom Hooper's flick. Okay, so Les Miserables was technically released in 2012, but we didn't get it over here in the UK until 2013, at which point the collective Les Mis fanbase rose up against former Gladiator Russell Crowe, who was cast as the adaptation's main antagonist, Inspect Javert. Fans were worried that Crowe wouldn't have a good enough voice for the part, and you know what? They were right. Crowe massacres his way through song after song, and it's not a pretty sight.
