10 Movie Moments That Actually Happened To Actors In Real Life

4. Channing Tatum Worked As A Stripper In Florida - Magic Mike

Much like Michael Keaton in Birdman, Channing Tatum categorically lived the part of Magic Mike before playing it on screen.

In the series, Tatum plays an enterprising male stripper living in Tampa, Florida, and the role is influenced by Tatum's own eight-month stint working as a stripper in Tampa under the moniker "Chan Crawford" when he was 18 years old.

While the bulk of the series' events are only loosely based on Tatum's own experiences, just like Mike the actor spent a while removing his clothes and dancing to make ends meet - making between $50-150 a night, depending on the night.

That all certainly ensured Tatum would be 1000% convincing in the role, because while not everything in the movies happened to him for real - certainly not the increasingly outlandish events of Magic Mike's Last Dance - he's lived that life and knows the precise essence of it.
