But even more burned unforgivably into our psyches is pretty much the entirety of Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1975 torture porn curio, Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom. In case you hadn't guessed by the movie title, this is a movie all about sexual torture and violence, aiming to gross its audience out as much as possible, which it does with gleeful, aggressive aplomb. The various attrocities committed throughout include the young cast being urinated on and forced to have sex with one another by their captors, but that's just a taster compared to the grim depths Pasolini finally plumbs. Eventually, the imprisoned kids are forced to eat plates of crap, ranking as among the most vile scenes ever committed to film. Oh, and to one-up itself once more, all the kids are then murdered at the end of the film. It's a tough call, but believe me, sitting through the entirety of Movie 43 is somehow more tolerable than subjecting yourself to this fascinatingly disgusting film.
