Morbius isn't the only new chapter of the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters that will be released in 2021. We will also see Venom: Let There Be Carnage, slated to be released in June. Tom Hardy is returning and will be pitted against Woody Harrelson's Cletus Kasady.

Marvel fans have been looking forward to the incredibly popular character's appearance ever since the post credit sting of the first movie, and as exciting as it is to think about Venom going toe to toe with Carnage, there is the potential for something even better. An appearance from everyone's favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.

Tom Holland's version of Spidey is the only one to have ever been allowed by Sony to interact with other Marvel characters whose rights they don't own. But after the success of Homecoming and Far From Home, he is surely being taken back away from the MCU here, right?

Surely the only reason Sony would agree to this in the first place is so they could eventually integrate him into their own shared universe at some stage. There would be no better time to do this than with Venom's second outing, once and for all ridding Spidey fans of the bad taste left by Spider-Man 3 all those years ago.
