5. What Happened To The Enterprise-D's Saucer Section After It Crash-Landed? - Star Trek Generations
1994s Star Trek Generations saw the destruction of the beloved Enterprise-D, which was critically damaged by the Duras sisters, forcing the crew to evacuate to the ship's saucer section, which then crash-landed on the planet Veridian III.
It's stated that the saucer is beyond repair, and in the next film, Star Trek: First Contact, the crew are now aboard the Enterprise-E.
Ever since Generations, however, fans have speculated on what became of the Enterprise-D's saucer section, which while badly damaged was still largely in one piece on the surface of Veridian III.
Well, they finally got their answer in the recent third and final season of Star Trek: Picard, where it's revealed that the saucer section was eventually recovered from the planet, and Geordi (Levar Burton) spent the better part of 20 years restoring it.
The legacy cast then board the refurbished Enterprise-D to do battle with the Borg once again, and by season's end, it thankfully remains very much in tact.
