10 Movie Plots Made Possible By Ridiculous Convenience

8. Dragonball Z: Resurrection F: Temporal Do-Over

Lots of you probably haven't invested time in Dragonball Z since you were considerably younger but the most recent films and series revival are a return to form for Akira Toriyama's flagship Manga inspired Anime.

Before you rush to find a copy of Resurrection F, however, there's a few Dragonball cliches to work your way through...

Yes, there's a lot of posturing and screaming before anything really happens (as with all DBZ material) but far less given the film's limited run time. Equally, there's a conveniently more powerful, secret transformation that sees the heroes dominate the villainous Frieza but all doesn't go to plan.

The evil tyrant is clearly going to lose the hyper-powered clash and instructs his newest right hand man to execute the back up plan: shoot Goku in the heart and blow up the planet. Goku dies, Earth is destroyed and Whis, assistant to the God of Destruction, is tasked with creating a shield to protect the fighters who remain.

Incredibly luckily, though, Whis is also capable of turning time back by five minutes and erasing everything Frieza literally just did, so time turns back, Goku beats the living sh*t out of everyone, and job's a good 'un.

Why do we bother?
