10 Movie Post-Credit Scenes That Went Absolutely Nowhere

3. The Pimp - Idiocracy

The Scene

After defying the odds and fixing America's food shortages, Dust Bowls and economy within a week, Luke WIlson's Joe (despite the hiccup of being temporarily sentenced to death for causing mass unemployment) is elected Vice President and eventually President. He marries former prostitute Rita, they have the world's three smartest children and the film ends.

In a post-credits scene, tough, Rita's former pimp is shown getting out of the same sort of cryo-pod that brought Rita and Joe to the future. He puts on his hat and swaggers away saying "I’m gonna find this hoe.”

What It Teased

It might have been mostly a gag, but this seemed to suggest the possibility of a sequel in which the pimp, Upgrayedd, came after his "property" to get Rita back into his service.

But...

There was no sequel - though there was some talk of a possible spin-off back in 2012 - so we never got to see whether Upgrayedd found Rita, or how the new President - her husband - might have dealt with that.

Strictly speaking, of course, the actual world turned into Idiocracy, so the film's ending didn't entirely go nowhere.
