9. Hockey Mask Prank - Friday The 13th Part III (1982)
The hockey mask of horror legend Jason Voorhees has become so iconic that many people forget that he didn't actually wear it for the first time until the third entry of the F13th franchise. Friday the 13th 3 opens with a new batch of hopeless teenagers as they travel to Camp Crystal Lake (aka Camp Blood) where they will meet their inevitable demise. Joining them is a young man named Shelly (played by Larry Zerner) who is quite the prankster. In fact, he seems to be absolutely obsessed with scarring the crap out of people by any means necessary. After a half-a-dozen scare pranks throughout the opening of the film Shelly decides to prank a girl that he has a crush on by jumping out of a lake with a harpoon gun and wearing a hockey mask (yeah, THAT hockey mask). The girl rebuffs his advances and Shelly walks away with his head held low. Jason (having witnessed the entire thing) kills poor Shelly, puts the hockey mask on, walks back to the lake and shoots the hot chick in the eye with the harpoon gun.
