10 Movie Punishments Worse Than Death

4. Buried Alive - Kill Bill: Vol. 2

Being buried is already a creepy way to end a life cycle. Instead of simply biting the dust and going on your merry way into a crematorium to be blown across the four winds, you're locked in a box and trapped under six feet of earth, destined to slowly decay and be eaten by insects should they manage to burrow their way inside. And as horrible as that sounds: imagine being awake whilst you're in there.

The Bride has this terrible fate enacted upon her by Bill's redneck brother Budd, but it isn't as simple as death: she's first shot in the chest with rock salt before being bound, for a painful, terrible death that defies any normal standard of being boxed up and buried. Of course, she panics, as anyone in their right mind would - before flashing back to training that can help her attempt an escape.

Whilst The Bride manages to get out of this one, it still stands as one a grisly, panic inducing punishment that any normal person with a normal hand wouldn't be able to punch their way free from.
