10 Movie Punishments Worse Than Death
2. Sloth - Se7en
With a serial killer on the loose and acting out the seven deadly sins in increasingly terrifying ways, Seven doesn't skimp on dishing out the fates worse than death in the run up to actually killing his victims. There's one, however, that isn't dead by the time detectives Mills and Sommerset reach the crime scene, depicting a man that has been tied to a bed and kept alive through IV drips for exactly one year.
During that time alone, he's lost his mind to the point of chewing off his own tongue, rendered a skeletal zombie that still somehow survives on despite being nothing more than bedsores and bones. The sloth jumpscares is one of the best in film history purely for how absolutely dead the victim should be, and how horrific it is thinking about someone managing to survive in the face of such grim circumstances.
That all being said, if anyone had to go through that, John Doe picked someone this fictional world that deserved punishment, at the very least.
