10 Movie Remakes/Reboots We Actually Want To See
1. Indiana Jones
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a mess. It retroactively removed all the supernatural and mysterious aspects of the Indiana Jones movies because it could all now be explained away as “alien technology”. The film used way too much CGI, Shia LaBeouf was annoying, and how the heck did Indy survive a nuclear explosion in a !*$% fridge?!
The movie teased that Indy would pass on his name to a successor given that he was getting too old for adventures now, but an Indy 5 has been in development hell for years. What the whip-cracking archaeologist really needs is to go back to the drawing board and start afresh. Give the role to another charismatic blockbuster action star, maybe Chris Pratt, and go back to Indy’s roots - exploring mysterious forgotten ruins and beating up Nazis with practical effects and no more nukes. We could all use a little bit of Indy’s magic in the cinema again - just please don’t kill Harrison Ford to make a fifth film happen.
