One doesn't make a list about cinematic ridiculousness without including this absurd creation from the madcap filmmaker, Tommy Wiseau.

The memorable rooftop scene in which young Denny (Philip Haldiman) is threatened by a drug dealer named Chris-R (Dan Janjigian) was originally filmed in an alleyway. Wiseau insisted that they shoot it again on a rooftop because he felt it'd be "more dramatic," bearing in mind that this scene had no relevance to the overall plot.

Even though refilming the scene would cost over $80,000 and required all the actors to be brought back with zero notice, Wiseau wasn't deterred and managed to fulfil his creative vision. Wiseau's vision ultimately didn't pay off, the movie ended up grossing less than $2,000 (USD), but not for lack of reshoots!
