10 Movie Roles That Traumatised Actors

6. Kyle Richards (Halloween)

A child actor looking for a launchpad to success in Hollywood, Kyle Richards played the little girl Lindsay Wallace in the original horror movie Halloween, as a kid in need of a babysitter on the fateful titular night.

Having plenty of experience in Hollywood already under her belt, including other horror films such as Eaten Alive and Escape from Witch Mountain, the actual production of Halloween didn't phase the young girl quite as much as you'd expect, with Richards enjoying her time on set, even playing cards with Nick Castle in between shots. The reality of a film set and the composition of a feature film are very different beasts, though, as Richards soon found out.

It was upon attending a screening of the full piece that it really left its mark on the then-10-year-old - who couldn't process the terrifying slasher movie and its sadistic villain Michael Myers. She claims to have had to sleep with her mom until 15 after seeing him hunting her home on screen, and hasn't featured in a horror film since. Instead, she's now a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills. Which to be frank, sounds a lot more traumatising than a man in a mask.
