10 Movie Scenes Actors Refused To Shoot
5. Wesley Snipes Refused To Shoot Any Scene Where His Face Wasn't Visible - Blade: Trinity
Unlike Emma Watson, Wesley Snipes' conduct wasn't quite so reasonable on the set of Blade: Trinity, where due to major creative disagreements with writer-director David S. Goyer, he decided to sandbag the production as much as possible.
First and foremost, Snipes refused to leave his trailer for any scenes and shots where his face didn't need to be visible, deferring instead to his stunt double.
Given that it's standard practise for actors to be available for their co-stars when shooting their side of a conversation so they can more easily immerse themselves in a scene, it's a major sign of disrespect not to do this.
As such, some have estimated that Snipes' stunt double was actually present for more of the shoot than the actor himself.
Nevertheless, Snipes ending up suing both Goyer and New Line Cinema over, among other things, claims that his role was reduced in favour of co-stars Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel.
At least they showed up, Wes.
