5. Did The Joker Say Six Or Ten? - The Dark Knight

No Country For Old Men
Warner Bros.

Christopher Nolan's masterful The Dark Knight just celebrated its 15-year anniversary, and those who were Terminally Online back in 2008 might remember the hilarious debate which emerged among viewers regarding a certain line mouthed by The Joker (Heath Ledger).

After the Clown Prince of Crime is captured by the GCPD, a cop angrily tells him that he killed six of his men, at which point the Joker mockingly mouths a number back at him.

Some believed that the Joker mouthed "six" at him, as if to say, "Wow, six?," while others claimed that he actually mouthed "ten," correcting him on the number of his colleagues who were actually slain.

Believe it or not, this was a whole thing back in 2008, with fans feverishly debating the matter on message boards while awaiting the film's home video release to confirm the truth.

But even though the DVD's subtitles clarified that, yes, The Joker did indeed say "six," some still swear blind to this very day that the subs are wrong and, in fact, Heath Ledger said "ten."
