10 Movie Scenes That Went Too Far

9. Layer cake (2004) - The Café Scene

2004€™s Layer cake is one of the slickest films to ever have been produced in the UK. Featuring an awesome cast which includes Daniel Craig, Colm Meany and Tom Hardy it is strongly recommended. At around the halfway point of the movie Mortimer (George Harris) and the unnamed Daniel Craig character are in a greasy London café, talking business when in comes what appears to be a homeless man (Freddy) who begins pestering Mortimer for money. You can feel the tension in this scene building as soon as Freddy sits down, you can almost feel the temperature rising in the room you€™re sitting in. Without warning, Duran Duran€™s Ordinary World that was playing in the background suddenly takes a leap forward in volume as Mortimer smashes a bottle of ketchup against Freddy€™s face. He then proceeds to kick the ever loving crap out of him for what seems an hour. Finally, he offers Freddy a cup of tea, but in the form of pouring a boiling hot kettle of water over his limp body. The odd but genius inclusion of Ordinary World is the perfect addition to this scene of unadulterated brutal British violence. http://youtu.be/k6WEatV1oEc
