10 Movie Sequels Made Bad Through The Hero's Kid

2. Mutt Williams - Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Before going ahead with this film, it is important to remember that this is only one of the many levels at which this unnecessary sequel failed miserably. Nuked fridges, CGI prairie dogs, geriatric Indy, transparent aliens, and vine swinging aside, I would say that perhaps the biggest problem I have with this film is in the obnoxious punk of a character played by Shia LaBeouf, whose relentless Johnny Strabler caricature is enough to make Mr Brando spin in his grave. Perhaps Spielberg and Lucas were naively trying to replicate Indy's chemistry with his father Henry (played exquisitely by Sean Connery in The Last Crusade), or with the charming Short-Round (Temple of Doom). Whatever the case may be, Mutt Williams is by far Indy's worst sidekick. Now, enough about this movie. Let's go back to pretending it never existed.
