10 Movie Sequels That Basically Wrote Themselves (But Never Happened)

2. Batman Beyond

Ever since the excellent Cartoon Network show Batman Beyond came into the world, the call for a live action film adaptation has been a prevalent demand amongst fans.

An excellent way of bringing it to the big screen, that would make it digestible and appealing to casual viewers, would be to sell it as sequel to the Tim Burton Batman movies starring Michael Keaton.

Bringing Keaton back as an old and grizzled Dark Knight, who has long been retired due to a heart condition, would be the perfect ending to his version of the character - something his current tenure as Batman is sorely missing.

It would be great to see Burton's Batman movies finally rounded off as a complete trilogy, rather than being directly tied to the Schumacher films. Crafting a story that combines elements from both interpretations, should be a relatively easy feat, and a potential gold mine for Warner Bros.

There's no official word on whether or not Keaton or Burton would be interested in such a project, but neither seem to be in much of a hurry to return any time soon.
