As far as horror-comedies go, Zombieland 2 had everything - likable characters, cool special effects and even an undead Bill Murray.
A sequel to the 2009 hit has been staggering towards the big screen at the speed of one of those reanimated corpses that gave Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg so much bother, but it sounds like it's happening.
Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are said to have completed their script for Zombieland 2, and the original cast are big fans of it.
Director Ruben Fleischer is also on board, but there's still red tape at Sony Pictures in the form of budget discussions and contract talks to hold.
Let's hope bureaucracy doesn't derail what is shaping up to be a prosming sequel.
