10 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2020
1. Flashpoint
Although Flashpoint marks the solo debut of Ezra Miller's The Flash, it also qualifies as a sequel since it follows on from the events of Justice League and the other DCEU movies, and will pick up the plot threads for many of their characters.
Almost certain to adapt the DC Comics' event of the same name, Flashpoint will see the Scarlet Speedster fighting to reverse timeline changes that have created a post-apocalyptic world. In this twisted version of the DC Universe, the Amazons are at war with the Atlanteans, Superman is nowhere to be found and Thomas Wayne is Batman.
It's yet to be confirmed how the movie will interpret these events, but it seems likely that abridging will be necessary, given the size and scale of the story. With any luck, The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan will reprise his role as Thomas Wayne from Batman v Superman, and Wonder Woman and Aquaman will make it into the film.
As for why there isn't much concrete info doing the rounds about Flashpoint, the directors are yet to officially sign up. Game Night helmers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are expected to share the chair, but the latest on that one is that they're still negotiating their contract with Warner Bros.
