10 Movie Sequels You Didn't Know Were Coming In 2023

The announcement of an Attack the Block sequel was unexpected, but great to see. The first film didn't exactly light the box-office on fire, but it presented a fun twist on your typical alien invasion story, full of bonkers humour and well-rounded characters.

And with writer-director Joe Cornish and star John Boyega set to return for the as-yet untitled Attack the Block 2, there's every chance that this sequel will be just as good - if not better - than the original.

Story details are being kept under wraps for now, but the film could easily say that another type of extra-terrestrial has landed on Earth, or that the first film's infestation wasn't as neutralized as we thought. Either way, watching a much-older Moses beat up some aliens is going to make for a highly entertaining time at the movies.

Like A Simple Favor 2, a firm release date for Attack the Block 2 hasn't yet been announced. But with Boyega recently providing a promising update - and with a smaller movie like this having a relatively short turnaround period - a 2023 opening seems on the cards.
