2. Clerks III
It's A Sequel To...Clerks II (2006) Maybe you've heard about this one, maybe you haven't: fact is, Kevin Smith is writing
Clerks III right this very second -
and it's a movie he believes is going to be the best movie that he ever makes. Quote, unquote. Despite announcing a few times that he was going to retire after his next movie, it's the third entry in his beloved slacker series that will apparently be his last - a bookend-based end to his career, if you will. So, yes, Smith fans will be pleased to hear that this thing is actually real, I guess. Also the man has been talking about it for, like, 6 years, so c'mon. Anyway, it's been a month since the director sat down and started to get this thing out on paper, which means it's probably not going to see the light of day until (at least) next year. That, coupled with the fact that Smith hopes to use sites like Kickstarter to fund the project, means that the
Clerks III ride is sure to be a bumpy one - there are bound to be a few production-related problems. What I'm saying is, if this thing doesn't get made for some reason, please don't blame me. I don't even like Kevin Smith. Please don't blame me for that, either, though.
Do We Want It? Personally, I could pass on this one (then again, I could pass on all KS movies).
