10 Movie Sequels You Won't Believe Are Happening

Once again, a movie that critics really didn't take to is getting a sequel all the same. Given that the original - The Hitman's Bodyguard - had a reasonable idea and combined the talents of Samuel L Jackson and Ryan Reynolds (who do genuinely have some of that old star draw power), it was a shame it wasn't a critical success. But then, it did make $177m from a $30m budget, so it was enough to convince the studio to get a sequel out.

That's not bad logic, but the idea of it being called The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard is just horrible. It doesn't exactly flow off the tongue, which you have to suspect someone thinks is a great joke. Someone in no way linked to the marketing department of the movie, presumably.

Reynolds and Jackson are both back in and Salma Hayek has signed on as the titular wife, and will join an unfeasibly talented cast including Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, and Richard E. Grant in pan-European romp. Imagine who they'd have got if the original had been good...!
