10 Movie Spoilers For 2018 That We Already Know

Marvel's third film set for release this year is this follow-up, which holds a position of mystery, insofar as it is the only film slated for release in between Infinity War and Avengers 4. This certainly lends credence to the idea that the film will play a key role of some sort, and not just be a standard stand-alone adventure.

After Ant-man was suspiciously missing from the Infinity War trailer, things looked even more up in the air. But some recent comments from the Wasp herself, Evangeline Lilly, not only indicate what the plot will entail, but also how it connects to the upcoming Avengers 4.

“Those characters are experts in the quantum realm. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are trying everything in their power to safely enter the quantum realm and return back from it because they have evidence from the first film that Scott Lang was able to do that. If he can do it, why can’t we? If we do succeed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, then that does open a whole entire new multi-verse to enter into and play around in."

It seems the plot will revolve heavily around the Quantum Realm, and given the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, I'd say its safe to say that her entrapment is their reason for returning.

Also, given that leaked set-photos from Avengers 4 seem to indicate time travel of some sort at work, Lilly's comments about opening a whole entire new multi-verse seem a bit too prophetic to just be her own personal musings.
