Harry O'Connor, a well known skydiver, was building up an impressive line of working as a stuntman in movies.

Featuring in Charlie's Angels (2000) and Air Force One (2000), he was set to be the double for Vin Diesel in his action movie xXx. Diesel is actually renowned for doing his very own action sequences but on this occasion, they needed someone with paragliding experience.

During one of the para-sailing action scenes, O'Connor hit a pillar of the Palacky Bridge in Prague, breaking his neck and being instantly killed. The accident was made more unfortunate because this happened on the second take, even though the first round was done perfectly. The first attempt was the one used for the film.
