10 Movie Supervillains Ruined By Botched CGI

6. Steppenwolf (Justice League)

The DC Extended Universe has a well-documented CGI problem, and the franchise hit a new low in this department with its big team-up effort, Justice League. Extensive reshoots were partly to blame, though it's debatable whether antagonist Steppenwolf would have turned out much better in an untampered-with Zack Snyder cut.

The villain and his Parademon minions are poorly-rendered enough to be distracting in most scenes they feature in, and that's hardly surprising considering they were put together by the same team that digitally erased Henry Cavill’s moustache.

Steppenwolf and his motivation for invading Earth could have been more fleshed out, since he was the reason the world's greatest heroes were uniting, but making him look the part should have been relatively straightforward with a budget of $300 million.
