10 Movie Trailers That Totally Misled Audiences

1. In Bruges

What The Trailer Says: In Bruges is a crazy, silly comedy about two Irish klutz hitmen in the city of Bruges, getting up to no good and basically not being very good at their jobs. And it's all harmless because Ralph Fiennes is in it! The Truth: True to the tone we've now come to expect from Martin McDonaugh, In Bruges is a very different beast indeed; it's a dark, hilarious, uproarious comedy that's also awash in existential overtones, as Colin Farrel's Ray tries to come to terms with the fact that he accidentally murdered a child while on a job as a hitman. Though it delivers entertainment in spades, it's not the straight-forward action-comedy that the trailers touted it as; it has far more going for it than that. Which misleading trailers annoyed you the most? Let us know in the comments below.
