10 Movie Trailers That Totally Misled Audiences

2. Kangaroo Jack

What The Trailer Says: The trailer to Kangaroo Jack suggests, aptly enough, that the film is about a rapping kangaroo who talks in an Australian accent - it sounds like fun for all the family, or at least kids under the age of 5, right? The Truth: The film is a loathesome comedy mostly featuring charmless human beings, while the rapping kangaroo scene was added into the film to make it more appealing to kids - the kangaroo mostly doesn't talk, as this is just a dream sequence. It's one thing misleading adults about how many faces Ryan Gosling stamps to pieces in Drive, but to deceive children who don't know any better is crass and tacky at best.
