8. Kill Bill
The Movie: The concluding chapter in the tale of Beatrix Kiddo aka The Bride, with Vernita Green's daughter, Nikki, being raised by Sofie Fatale (who inherited all of Bill's money), and Hell-bent on revenge against The Bride for killing her mother.
Is It Happening?: For a while, Tarantino seemed extremely enthusiastic about it, while also making it clear that there was no rush, given his interest in other projects, as well as the need for the actress playing Nikki (presuming they don't recast her) to age appropriately. Tarantino wanted at least a decade to pass before returning to this world, and, well, that time is pretty much up. However, when Tarantino was doing press for Django Unchained, he said that a third Kill Bill was unlikely, as he's instead moving on with other projects.
Likelihood: Tarantino hasn't ruled it out completely, but I wouldn't count on this one.
