2. Gremlins
The Movie: The continuing adventures of lovable, furry Mogwai Gizmo, as he once again has to fend off a gang of horrible Gremlins.
Is It Happening?: It's been languishing in development for over twenty years, in large part because Gremlins 2: The New Batch was such a tremendous box office disappointment (despite being significantly better than the original film). Joe Dante has at various stages said that it is and isn't happening, though the consensus seems to be that a reboot is more likely, one that probably would not involve Dante (and therefore would be totally pointless).
Likelihood: Given the passage of time and the mediocre box office performance of the last film, it's not really surprising that this one hasn't gone anywhere. Better to expect a charmless, CGI-laden remake sometime down the line.
