1. Ghostbusters
The Movie: Peter Venkman is dead, and with a new threat looming on the horizon, the Ghostbusters must recruit a new gang of young interns to help them quell the latest paranormal entity.
Is It Happening?: Who knows? The film has been in development for almost 25 years, gone through countless rewrites, and the main reason it's never happened is Bill Murray's ambivalence to return. However, Dan Aykroyd has come round to the idea of making Ghostbusters III without him, and so it just seems to be a case of getting a script together that everybody (else) likes. Given how enormously successful the first two films were, this one really should be a total no-brainer, though admirably, Aykroyd isn't just exploiting the franchise for a quick buck.
Likelihood: It just might happen eventually. Money isn't a concern, just getting everyone on the same page.
